Use Case - Inventory & Supply-Risk

How a food & beverage manufacturer got ahead of stockouts

Editorial placeholder

COMPANY DESCRIPTION - one or two sentences on the customer: what they produce, roughly what scale, and what their reorder process looked like before FocusNow. Facts the customer has confirmed only - no estimates.

Reorder points and safety stock had never been generic numbers for this team - they were shaped by specific supplier lead times, seasonal demand swings, and how much risk the company was willing to carry on any given product line. The problem wasn't a lack of data; it was that no single view pulled all of it together against thresholds that were actually theirs, so planners either got buried in alerts that didn't matter or missed the one that did.

Building it

FocusNow connected to the customer's existing inventory and supplier systems and applied their own reorder logic - the thresholds, lead times, and risk tolerances specific to each product line - rather than a generic inventory-management default. The rollout started with one product category, backtested against the company's own historical stock and order data before any alert was allowed to reach a planner.

What changed

  • Metric placeholder

e.g. reduction in stockout incidents, alert precision, planner hours saved. Insert only once actually measured.

  • Metric placeholder

A second measured outcome, if available.

The team's own description of the shift: alerts stopped being something to double-check against a spreadsheet before acting on, and started being something they could act on directly - because each one carried the specific rule and data behind it.

CUSTOMER QUOTE PLACEHOLDER - do not publish a quote that wasn't actually said and approved by the customer for publication. Leave blank until obtained.
